Mr. McBride, a native Washingtonian, began his real estate career in 1975 when he assisted his mother in the formation of her residential real estate company, Cecile B. McBride & Company, Inc. Throughout High School, Mr. McBride worked after school assisting in residential sales, rentals, marketing and management with McBride & Company. After graduating from Walt Whitman HS in 1978, he received his salesman’s license.

While attending Georgetown University, he was hired by the aviation consulting firm of Beauvais, Roberts and Kurth to assist in statistical analysis and research. During his three years with Beauvais, Roberts and Kurth, he was trained in preparing statistical spread sheet models on behalf of commercial carriers and airport clientele. This analytical background has proven to be invaluable in preparing custom-made computer spread sheet analyses on behalf of his tenant clientele. It also gave him experience in adapting new technologies to better serve his clients.

In 1982, Mr. McBride received a Bachelor’s in Economics from the College of Arts and Sciences at Georgetown University. In 1983, Mr. McBride joined the Washington, D.C. office of Barnes, Morris & Pardoe, Inc. (now CB/Richard Ellis). He was named the company’s “Rookie of the Year” and received numerous awards from the Washington, DC Board of Realtors for the transactions he consummated on behalf of his clients. Among other acknowledgements, he was initiated as a “life member” of the Washington Board of Realtors “Million Dollar Club”

Throughout his career Mr. McBride has endeavored to raise the level of services provided to his clients. With the creation of the Windows Operating System for personal computers and local area networks, he realized that information technology (IT) had become an increasingly large factor in the way his clients’ worked and the way they used real estate. In order to assist his clients in synchronizing their office space and IT, Mr. McBride formed an IT services company, Systems Engineering Solutions, Inc. (SES) in 1997. SES assisted a number of Mr. McBride’s real estate clients, including Host Marriott Services, Inc. in the creation of a digital repository to save, store and retrieve critical contracts.

In 2001, Mr. McBride joined the Philadelphia, PA based investment company, Preferred Real Estate Investment, to head its Washington, DC office.

In 2002, Mr. McBride launched McBride Real Estate Services, Inc. Mr. McBride specializes in tenant representation and consultation services and has been responsible for lease negotiations on behalf of many leading law firms, associations, financial institutions and corporations in Washington, D.C. and nationally.

Mr. McBride’s community service work has included St. Patrick’s Church and St. Columba’s Church. He recently served as the President of The University Club of Washington, DC, a 104 year old city club, with approximately 2,500 members and an annual budget exceeding $11 Million.

Who We Are

The mission of McBride Real Estate Services, Inc. (MRES) is to provide real estate solutions that champion our clients’ business objectives. We are not a typical “brokerage” firm. Rather, we are a flexible organization, consisting of seven senior real estate professionals driven to provide our clients with the best solutions at the best value. Our partners’ backgrounds include work in the legal, financial, construction and architecture sectors, plus an average real estate experience level exceeding 10 years. The advantages MRES clients enjoy are: customized solutions, access to the best professionals for every phase of a project and the personal attention of the company’s principals.

Our size is our strength. The core of MRES remains small on purpose. Having worked for companies of various sizes in our past professional lives, we have found that a strong, small team with complementary skill sets is able to provide the best services and maintain the best relationships with our clients. However, our core size does not limit the depth of our services. Rather than having a large organization with weak links in several service areas, we are able to provide the best professionals for every phase of a project through our strategic alliances. MRES is able to support our clients with the resources of almost 200 employees for all key planning, transaction and implementation areas as described in Our Services. Furthermore, we are able to flexibly staff a project in any location utilizing the ideal team to deliver the customized solution.

In our hearts, MRES is a Tenant Representation firm first and foremost. That being said, we provide a full complement of real estate services to support our tenant clients. These include: representing our clients in the acquisition and disposition of leased and owned facilities, lease audits, lease administration, strategic planning, enterprise integration and project management for a wide variety of real estate projects.
