McBride Real Estate Services, Inc. Negotiates Lease For Uber’s New DC Offices

Washington, DC – McBride Real Estate Services, Inc. has completed negotiations for Uber’s new Washington, DC office lease. Uber was represented by Richard McBride and Luke Joyce of McBride Real Estate Services, Inc. and Matthew Gannon of Vornado/Charles E. Smith represented the landlord.

With the signing of Uber, their 388,000 square foot office building is now 90% leased.  Located in the Dupont Circle neighborhood, the building provides a number of tenant amenities, including concierge service, a conference facility, fitness center and rooftop terrace.

“This is the second office lease we negotiated this year on behalf of Uber. This building offered an ideal combination of tremendous window ratio, great neighborhood, easy vehicular access, a large garage and very attractive economics to create the perfect fit for Uber’s needs. Many landlords were vying to lease space to this exciting, rapidly expanding company but Vornado clearly offered the best terms for an ideal space”, said Richard J. McBride, Jr., President.

“Working with Uber was an exciting challenge. They are a rapidly growing technology company that required an unusual combination of features to support their business plan. We scoured the market to find the best real estate solution to support Uber’s operations and expansion. It’s always satisfying to have a client that’s pleased with your efforts and an added bonus to have represented a brand that is transforming transportation services globally”, said Luke Joyce, Managing Director.

Uber’s offices were previously located on N Street, NW. Headquartered in San Francisco, CA, the company is currently operating in 23 countries and has 31 offices nationally.
