Michael Kent, Managing Director at McBride Real Estate Services, is a licensed commercial real estate consultant specializing in tenant representation. He brings over 14 years of professional experience in the commercial real estate and telecommunications industries. Michael makes it a priority to understand his clients’ organizational goals and objectives enabling him to deliver a customized strategic plan, helping them get from where they are today to where they want to be tomorrow. Michael’s clients benefit from his creativity, tenacity, and expertise from his commercial real estate experience.

Prior to joining McBride, Michael most recently worked for the D.C. Government’s Department of Real Estate Services where he negotiated office and industrial leases. He also led efforts to lease out underutilized District owned assets, coordinated tenant improvement projects, and was responsible for the financial analysis of the District’s portfolio of 70 leased properties across 3.5 million square feet. Additionally, Michael has experience working in acquisitions and asset management capacities at privately held real estate investment firms throughout the greater Washington, D.C. metro area. In this capacity, he had an instrumental role in the acquisition of over 2 million square feet of office, industrial, and retail properties gaining an extensive background in conducting market studies, preparing annual tenant operating expense rent reconciliations, developing financial pro forma models, and negotiating all types of new, renewal, and lease restructuring transactions.

Before transitioning to commercial real estate, Michael was an account executive at AT&T Business Services where he was on the AT&T Signature Client sales account team dedicated to Cendant Corporation. Michael designed and sold complex voice and data network services to Cendant and its operating subsidiaries which included Avis Rent-A-Car, Howard Johnson, Coldwell Banker, PHH, and Orbitz travel.

Michael earned his Master of Science in Real Estate from the Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Vermont.
